A man in Greek custody wanted by Turkey on terrorism charges will not be extradited, an Athens court ruled on Tuesday. Forty-eight-year-old Turkish national Naci Ozpolat was among a nine-strong group of suspected radicals detained by Greek counter-terrorism police late last year. A doctor who reportedly served as a general practitioner in a northern Greek hospital for 17 years has left the job when it was discovered he was unqualified. Local media report that the unidentified doctor in Kavala left when all staff were required to submit their medical diplomas. The development of the Kavala “Alexander the Great” Airport is estimated to cost over 10 million euros, and will be ready by 2019, Fraport Greece’s managing director Alexander Zinell, said on Tuesday. Four migrants were killed and five others were seriously injured on Tuesday when their vehicle crashed near Nea Peramos, on a provincial road between Kavala and Thessaloniki in northern Greece. According to reports, eight illegal migrants were on-board the vehicle driven by a trafficker, when police tried to stop it. The trafficker refused and a high-speed chase followed which resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle which fell over a cliff.
