Civil protection authorities have imposed a mini-lockdown on the northern regional units of Kavala, Imathia, Pieria, and Pella in order to halt the spread of CoViD-19.
The restrictions will take effect at 06:00 a.m. on Friday and will be reviewed on September 24, 2021, based on the progression of coronavirus cases.
Except for medical emergencies and work, all movement in regional units will be prohibited between 01:00 a.m. and 06:00 a.m., and music will be prohibited in clubs, bars, and cafés to prevent overcrowding.
Parties and other gatherings of more than 20 people are also prohibited, both in private and in public, with fines ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 euros for violations.
The Civil Protection authority also stated that existing restrictions on the regional units of Evrytania and Argolida will be extended for at least another week.
