An excavation team from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AuTH) made a stunning discovery in Philippi, a major Greek city northwest of the nearby island of Thasos. On Friday, September 23, 2022, a 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a 52-year-old marble factory worker in Kavala. According to sources, the suspect, who used to work in the same factory, allegedly told police that the victim had bullied him in the past and was responsible for his dismissal.
