Marketing Greece recently released a new video promoting Thassos’ traditional crafts and local products as part of its “Kavala-Thassos Tourism Partnership” initiative.

The initiative, launched in 2029 to promote the tourism product of Kavala and Thassos, sees the marketing company collaborate with the hotel associations of the two Northern Greece destinations, the Kavala Chamber of Commerce, AEGEAN Airlines, and Fraport Greece.

The new 54-second video highlights Thassos’ community, taking viewers on a journey that praises Greece’s northernmost island for its authenticity, tradition, and cultural history.

International visitors can learn about the island’s ceramic workshops and marble sculpting with the celebrated Thassos marble, as well as get a glimpse of the island’s local olive production and famous beekeeping.

The video aims to highlight the destination’s tourism product, which can provide experiences other than the traditional Greek “sun and sea” couple.

The Thassos promotional ad follows the September release of a video titled “Mt Pangaio – A mountain getaway from Kavala,” which focused on promoting Kavala’s natural surroundings as activity-friendly destinations, a current popular global travel trend.

Marketing Greece is a private marketing firm specializing in Greek tourism. The Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, and the Hellenic Association of Communications Agencies launched it in 2013 (EDEE).
