On Friday, September 23, 2022, a 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a 52-year-old marble factory worker in Kavala.
According to sources, the suspect, who used to work in the same factory, allegedly told police that the victim had bullied him in the past and was responsible for his dismissal.
On September 16, 2022, shortly after 05:30 a.m., the alleged perpetrator opened fire with a hunting rifle at the victim as he arrived for work in the Chrysoupoli area. The 52-year-old man died as a result of his injuries.
The perpetrator, after shooting and killing the victim, fled on foot through a nearby field and then mounted his motorcycle towards Crisopoli.
