All major Finn Championships in 2023 are now accepting entries. The entry period for the 2023 Finn European Masters Championship in Campione de Garda, the year’s final major championship, opened this week.

After a memorable and extremely enjoyable Finn Gold Cup in Miami, followed by the Semaine International de Cannes last week, which drew 72 Finns, the Finn Class is hoping for another successful season.

The Open Europeans will be held at CSOPAK on Lake Balaton, at the club managed by 2020 Olympic silver medalist Zsombor Berecz. Berecz and double Finn Olympian Ian Ainslie are planning two training clinics leading up to the event, which, along with another regatta the week before, will provide a solid block of Finn sailing on the lake.

Many boats will sail south from Hungary to Kavala, Greece, for the Finn World Masters, which will take place for a week on an idyllic beach and promises a lot of sailing and fun.

Following that, the Finn Silver Cup for U23s takes place on the beautiful Lake Como, and there is already a lot of interest in this event, with a number of cheap charter options available. It is best to book early.

Finally, in September, the Finn European Masters will be held in Campione del Garda, with a large entry expected for the season Finn-ale.

All of the links and additional information are provided below.

These events are all part of the Finn World Tour for Finns, which currently consists of 49 events worldwide and is used to determine the World Ranking List. Laurent Hay, the winner last week in Cannes, was the first world No. 1 in October, but who will be the first world No. 1 in 2023?

Keep an eye out for the next #finntalks with Italian Class President Marko Kolic, who will discuss upcoming events in Italy this year and next. In 2024, the Finn Gold Cup in Anzio will be followed by the Finn World Masters in Punta Ala, both of which are expected to be very popular.
