Three men were arrested at the end of last week in connection with a 4.2-million-euro robbery, that occurred about a year ago at a branch of a security service company in Kavala, northern Greece. Police have three Greek nationals in custody, aged 41, 44, and 64, who they believe committed the robbery from the security company where the 44-year-old suspect worked as a manager. Yesterday, a man in his fifties was tragically killed after being struck by lightning in the middle of the day in the city of Kavala. The man was struck around midday in front of stunned bystanders, who rushed to his aid. An EKAB ambulance rushed to the scene and transported the unfortunate man to Kavala Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Three people were taken to hospital in Kavala after gunshots were fired near a beach bar in the city’s northeastern outskirts. One of the three is thought to be in critical condition. A passing motorist in northern Greece noticed a young dolphin trapped in the shallow waters of Ofrinio beach. The dolphin was unable to return to the open sea, so the two men rescued it. A few hours earlier, on the same beach, another young dolphin was discovered dead, while another struggled on the shore. The two men assisted it in returning to the sea.
